Upon confirmation of the issuance of a Nominee Certificate by the Nova Scotia Government, the applicant must file an immigration application at a designated Canadian Visa Office in order to secure his or her medical and security clearances. Upon visa issuance and landing in Canada, the nominee will be able to select from a list of companies approved by the Province of Nova Scotia and must be engaged in a six month middle management employment contract with a salary of $20,000. The Province of Nova Scotia believes that this initial employment will greatly assist nominees in establishing themselves in Nova Scotia. Processing times under the Nova Scotia Investor program vary depending on applicants' individual circumstances. However, they are significantly faster than through other Canadian immigration programs. The whole process can take only six to nine months.
